Chemtrails? Contrails? What are the trails behind airplanes?
Chemtrails is a term that means "chemical trail" and is often used in the context of conspiracy theories. According to this theory, it is claimed that the contrails left behind by airplanes actually contain chemical substances or biological agents and that these substances are intentionally released into the atmosphere. Scientifically, the trails left behind by airplanes are generally formed when water vapor produced by the combustion process of engines condenses in the cold atmosphere and turns into small ice crystals.
